Not all salads are alike. There is a bit of an art to making a salad that makes you feel good and you actually enjoy. A salad that your friends and family also want to eat too. It starts with flavor and texture. Let’s get to it!

Salad with Strawberries Recipe Ingredients

WHAT DRESSING TO USE

For this salad with strawberries recipe, we’re making a balsamic vinaigrette that doesn’t comprise any of your health goals. The main ingredient is olive oil. It doesn’t feel heavy or too thick. Vinaigrettes are great for summer salads.

In its simplest form a balsamic vinaigrette dressing is two parts olive oil and 1 part balsamic vinegar. This is helpful to know if you’re traveling and want to make up something quick.

To give this balsamic vinaigrette some flavor, we’re adding in coco aminos. Coco aminos is an alternative to soy sauce with less sodium. It enhances the flavor. If you don’t have it, you can omit the ingredient.

WHY HOMEMADE DRESSING

There’s no need to buy store bought salad dressings once you learn how easy it is to make your own. All you need to do is place all your ingredients in a jar or container.

Then give it a stir before serving. The balsamic vinaigrette travels well to any family gathering or enjoyed anytime in your kitchen.

WHEN READY TO SERVE

Grab a large bowl. Place your salad greens, sliced strawberries, onions, and nuts in the bowl. Drizzle the dressing on top. Give it a nice toss.

We’ve added in nuts and onions to give this salad a nice crunch.

The bright red strawberries bring out a beautiful red color to our dish. Having a visually appealing salad with a contrast of red and greens is important. It brings attention to the dish. When you are about to bite into your salad, you can say look at this, I’m worth it.

You are worth eating yummy food you enjoy. You are worth digging your fork into something wholesome and satisfying.

If you’re looking to make this salad with strawberries recipe, more filling you can add in chicken and feta cheese. It’s up to you!
