Sometimes on a cold winter afternoon, you want something warm and cozy to place your hands around. Am I right? And that’s where this warm almond milk drink comes in. It is a nice change up to water  especially if you’re not a tea person like myself.

This warm almond milk drink is oh so satisfying and delicious. The peanut butter and cashews can help with any afternoon hunger cravings. They provide you with some protein and you can feel full. It’s truly a win all around!

Warm Almond Milk Drink Ingredients

WHAT IS IN THIS WARM DRINK

The flavor profile of this warm almond milk drink is quite brilliant when combined with peanut butter, cinnamon, and vanilla.

  • Almond milk, unsweetened
  • Dates
  • Cashews
  • Peanut butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Vanilla

The dates give this warm drink a bit of natural sweetness. And the cashews create a nice creamy texture.

HOW TO MAKE

Place all of the ingredients in a blender and pulse until well combined. When you blend all of the ingredients in the blender, you’re left with a frothy beverage just like you’d get at a high end coffee shop. This gets all of the spices and flavors well combined before popping it on the stove to heat up for a few minutes.

Transfer the almond milk mixture to a saucepan. Heat on medium heat for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally. You can also place the almond milk drink in the microwave.

Pour into a mug and enjoy! This warm almond milk drink is great to share on a cold winter day. You can also cut the recipe in half and make one mug for yourself.

Note that I added chopped chocolate to the top of this warm drink. I actually prefer it without the chocolate as the flavors in the recipe are delicious as is.

Notes

You can substitute the almond milk with any plant based milk. I didn’t try this with oat milk yet I’ve heard oat milk is great for making frothy beverages. Oat milk is what a lot of baristas enjoy using in vegan lattes.
