Can I be honest with you? I’m not a tea person. I will drink it occasionally but often get bored of the flavors. That’s why a chai tea adds a little spice and fun to a normal tea.

Chai tea consists of a chai spice mixture, milk (we’ll use plant based), and an optional black tea bag. The spices are where it’s at: ground cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg.

HOW TO MAKE CHAI TEA

In a bowl, add spice mixture ingredients and stir until well combined. Place in a sealed jar.

For serving hot, in a saucepan add almond milk, teaspoon of the chai spice, and optional sweetener. Continue to stir until warm. Place in a mug and enjoy.

For serving cold, in a mug add almond milk, ice cubes, teaspoon of the chai spice mixture. Give it a stir.

How to Make Chai Tea

You can make chai tea anyway. It is especially soothing and refreshing on a cold winter day. You can wrap your hands around your nice warm mug and enjoy the beautiful aroma too. And in the warmer months, add a few ice cubes and enjoy it chilled. You’ll just want to make sure you stir your chai tea occasionally so that the spices don’t all float to the bottom of your mug.
