Sometimes we can spend so much thinking about what to make and what to share with family and friends. When we go to gatherings with a variety of food options, we want to share a salad or side that compliments other dishes well. This refreshing salad dressing with apple cider vinegar and honey mustard is easy to pair with other dishes.
And not to mention we’ll feel good about ourselves too. That’s why I love to bring this salad recipe with apples or a healthy appetizer to share as I know I have something I’ll enjoy eating no matter what.
Make the salad dressing ahead of time. When you are ready to serve, you can slice the apples and throw it all in a dish. Easy and oh so good my friends!
WHY USE HONEY IN SALAD DRESSINGS
You’ll notice in a lot of my recipes I include honey instead of sugar. If you choose to add sugar to recipes by all means please do so. I have found that when we restrict things we want it even more. You know the feeling?
When I think through recipe ingredients, I try to select more natural options when possible. Honey still gives us the sweetness we desire while also being a natural sweetener.
HOW TO MAKE THIS SALAD RECIPE WITH APPLES
And friends let’s talk about how much we love 5 minute recipes. Shall we? Hell yeah, I’ll just give you the jist of it: IT ONLY TAKES 5 MINUTES TO MAKE. Seriously, pretty rad right?
Add all of your salad ingredients to a bowl and give it a stir. Then to a salad bowl add your salad greens, sliced apples, nuts, and cranberries. The cranberries help give this green salad a splash of color.
Note that apples can turn brown quickly so slice the apple right before serving so they are still crisp and fresh.
