Lemonade from Lemon Juice
GUIDE
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients
- 3 lemons juiced
- 3 cup water
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 cup ice cubes
- 2 tablespoon honey or maple syrup or more if you like
- 3 long springs fresh mint or more as desired (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Instructions
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and water to a pitcher.
- Rinse the ginger and grate it with the skin using a grater or microplane. Place the ginger pulp in a strainer or dish towel. Squeeze over the pitcher to extract the liquid. You can also use your hands and squeeze out the liquid from the ginger.
- Add the honey and ice cubes. Taste test the lemonade. If it is tart add in more water or honey.
- Give it a stir and pour into glasses.
- I recommend adding the mint last to individual glasses. If you leave the mint in the pitcher for more than a day, it wilts and turns brown so best to enjoy fresh.
