When you think of smoothies, what comes to mind? Oftentimes, I think of bananas and strawberries yet what if we change it up a bit. What if we could use mangoes and still have a naturally sweetened smoothie. Yes it is possible.

And frozen mangoes can be found in most grocery stores. When I started out on experimenting with new foods 10 years ago, I started out with smoothies. I had no cooking experience and was afraid to keep ingredients in my home for fear of eating them all in one sitting.

With smoothies, you can add all of your ingredients into a blender and viola! Breakfast is made in minutes. This mango strawberry smoothie is so vibrant and full of life. A little pick me up smoothie during the colder months.

HOW TO MAKE A MANGO SMOOTHIE

Place all in a blender and blend until a smooth consistency. This mango smoothie recipe doesn’t include bananas. It is a different alternative to banana based smoothies and it’s mighty good.

You can use frozen mangos and strawberries. If you prefer to use a fresh mango, you can cut the mango into cubes. Frozen fruit is so convenient to use.

The unsweetened almond milk helps create a creamy consistency. For this smoothie, you can also substitute with any plant based milk you prefer. Unsweetened coconut milk and almond milk are both great options to use in smoothies.
