Chocolate Chip Blondies Recipe

5 from 8 votes
There is something special about chocolate chip blondies. They have the flavor of a chocolate chip cookie and the texture and richness of brownies. And the best part is that they are so freakin easy to make.

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup peanut butter (I used natural peanut butter)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips plus optional 2 tablespoon chopped chocolate or chocolate chips for topping
INSTRUCTIONS

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F /176 C. Use a 9x13 inch pan. I used a glass pan. If you are using metal you can line the pan with parchment paper.
  • You can place a bit of oil in the pan. Then, set the parchment paper on top of the oil so that the parchment paper stays put.
  • In a mixing bowl, add in peanut butter, honey, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and sale. Give it a stir with a spatula.
  • Gently fold in the chopped chocolate or chocolate chips.
  • Pour the mixture in the pan. Add 2 tablespoons of chopped chocolate or chocolate chips to the top.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool. Enjoy my friends!
NOTES

Notes

I prefer to use 2 tablespoons of chopped dark chocolate to top off these chocolate chip blondies. The chopped chocolate on top melts beautifully and the higher quality of dark chocolate helps give these blondies a rich and insanely delicious chocolatey flavor.
